My answer is simple: the Lion of Judah.

That’s not fictional to me. It’s not a trend. It’s a reminder of who I’m leaning on when the pressure gets real.

Baseball has a way of testing you fast. One pitch can humble you. One at-bat can teach you. One game can flip the whole week. And as I’m working every day to grow as a two-way player, I’m learning that the biggest battles aren’t always physical—they’re mental and spiritual too.

When people hear Triple B, they think Benny the Beast Benavides. They think intensity, work ethic, and being ready for the moment. I take pride in that. But I also want people to know something deeper: I’m not trying to build a brand off hype. I’m trying to build a life off faith, discipline, and character.

The Lion of Judah represents strength with purpose—courage that doesn’t depend on the scoreboard. It’s the kind of confidence that stays steady when things go my way, and stays steady when they don’t.

So when I say “Triple B,” I’m not just talking about being a beast on the field. I’m talking about being consistent when nobody’s watching. Being coachable. Being a good teammate. Doing the work. Owning the mistakes. And trusting God with the results.

I’m grateful for every opportunity to compete, to learn, and to keep moving forward—one rep at a time.
